B.Tech Admission 2014
IIST
offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programmes in three branches, namely
(i)Aerospace Engineering
(ii)Avionics
(iii) Physical sciences.
(ii)Avionics
(iii) Physical sciences.
The
total number of seats for the B.Tech Programmes in IIST for the academic year
2014-15 is 156. The seat matrix for different programmes is as follows:
B.Tech. in Aerospace
Engineering : 60
B.Tech. in Avionics : 60
B.Tech. in Physical Sciences : 36
B.Tech. in Avionics : 60
B.Tech. in Physical Sciences : 36
Candidates who are desirous to
join B.Tech Programmes in IIST must appear for the Joint Entrance
Examination (Main)-2014 conducted by Central Board of Secondary
Education (CBSE), New Delhi to qualify themselves to appear for
Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2014 conducted by IITs and secure the
minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced)-2014 as
given below:-
(a) General Candidates (GEN):
At least 20% marks in aggregate and at least 5% marks in each of the three
subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).
(b) Other Backward Community – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Candidates: At least 18% marks in aggregate and at least 4.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).
(c) Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST) & Persons with Disabilities(PD) Candidates: At least 10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics).

The ISAT 2014
Application Form will have three important events associated with it during the
process of applying for the ISAT 2014.
1.
Registering ONLINE.
2.
Sending the INSTITUTE
COPY of Bank Challan.
3.
Checking the ISAT 2014
Application Form status.
1.
Registering
Online:
o The applicants can visit the official website
for online registration. This portal shall be open from the first week of
November to the Last week of December 2013.
o Prior filling the ISAT 2014 Application Form, applicants should download the Prospectus of
ISAT 2014 and read the instructions carefully to avoid any error during
applying as no change in any information is allowed at any later stages.
o The online registration via ISAT 2014
Application Form will require a working email id of the applicant which is to
be kept alive and secured till the admission process is complete.
o The applicant should enter the credentials in ISAT 2014 Application Form with full care and verify the details
before clicking the “Next Step” button. As soon as the fundamental details of
the applicant have been filled in the ISAT 2014 Application Form, there will be
field concerning the PASSWORD. The applicants should preserve this password for
all the future references.
o After this, the option for the exam centers and
the bank branches for the CHALLAN should be filled in the ISAT 2014 Application
Form.
o Before advancing to the next page, the applicant
should verify all the details filled in by him/her as NO back going is allowed
after this stage.
o To finish the registration process by ISAT 2014 Application Form, the applicant should now press the SUBMIT
button and a message will be displayed regarding successful registration with
the unique ISAT REGISTRATION NUMBER which is to be preserved carefully till the
admission process is complete.
o The applicant will also get an email on the
email id mentioned in the ISAT 2014 Application Form, bearing all the details
supplied by him/her.
o Now the applicant has to download the challan by
clicking on “Get My Challan” which should be printed out on an A4 sheet and
deposited at the bank branch selected earlier.
o For the above step, the applicant would have to
login using the loginid and password.
o The deadline of depositing the Challan at the
bank will be around the first week of January 2014.
2.
Sending
the INSTITUTE COPY of Bank Challan:
o The applicant has to get the institute copy
countersigned by the bank official and sent via SPEED POST in an envelope
bearing the REGISTRATION NUMBER clearly to:

o The deadline of sending this Challan to the ISAT
2014 office will be around third week of January, 2014.
o After making the payment, applicant has to
update the payment details in the website using the Applicant Login.
3.
Checking
the ISAT 2014 Application Form status:
o The status of ISAT 2014 Application Form can be
checked on the ISAT 2014 portal after the last week of February
2014 in order to be assured about the delivery of the form.
These are events
associated with ISAT 2014 Application Form which complete the application
process of ISAT 2014.
